We Are One

The Douglasville Police Department's primary goal is to maintain social order within ethical and constitutional boundaries while delivering professional law enforcement services. We enforce the law fairly and impartially, respecting legal limits and the constitutional rights of all individuals. Recognizing that community support is vital, we actively seek citizen cooperation to reduce crime and maximize our resources.

We have been state-accredited since 2014 and are now working toward national accreditation through the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. (CALEA). To support this effort, CALEA has created an online portal where community members can share their feedback on our department, helping assess our compliance with CALEA's standards for continuous improvement and excellence.
