Jessie Davis Park is the home of the Alice J. Minor Hawthorne Community Center, a 15,720 square feet facility which was constructed in 2002 and dedicated to Mrs. Alice J. Hawthorne. Mrs. Hawthorne was a Douglasville native who tragically lost her life in the 1996 Olympic bombing. The Center features two meeting rooms, a warming kitchen, a gymnasium containing one regulation basketball court, two youth courts and two regulation volleyball courts.

A refundable cleaning/damage deposit is required for all rentals.

Meeting Room 1 with Kitchen Full Day: $390.00 Half Day: $245.00 Meeting Room 1 without Kitchen Full Day: $340.00 Half Day: $220.00 Meeting Room 2 Full Day: $340.00 Half Day: $220.00   Kitchen Only Full Day: $50.00 Half Day: $25.00   A refundable cleaning deposit of $100.00 is required for meeting room rentals.
Gymnasium   Floor Uncovered: $460 half day | $720 Full Day (8 hours) $75.00 Additional Hour Floor covered : $800.00 per day (Full day minimum) Hourly rate: $40.00 per hour half court* | $65 per hour full court A $200.00 cleaning deposit is required for the gymnasium. *- only athletic events can rent half court.
