As a part of our conservation efforts within the Douglasville Parks and Recreation Department, we have developed a way for the community to help us capture natural habitats within our parks.

What is a BioBlitz?

A BioBlitz is an event or project in which community members work with park staff to create a snapshot of the variety of species that can be found in our local parks. 

How to participate in the BioBlitz:

We use iNaturalist for the Douglasville Parks and Recreation BioBlitz. You can either use the Seek by iNaturalist app or iNaturalist to record observations of flora and fauna that you find interesting in our parks! You can join the project to be informed about new posts or to see all the observations.
