A special meeting of the Douglasville City Council will be held at 5:00 p.m. Thursday, January 9, 2020, for the purposes of: 

a) Swearing-in ceremonies for the following individuals elected to the Douglasville City Council for four year terms extending through December 31, 2023: 
• Mayor Rochelle Robinson by the Honorable Judge Cynthia Adams; 
• Council member Mark E. Adams, Ward 2, Post 2, by the Honorable Judge Keith Rollins; 
• Council member Chris Watts, Ward 4, by Senior Pastor Steve McFall;
• Council member Howard M. Estes, Ward 5, by the Councilman Terry Miller; 

b) Election by the City Council from among its members an individual to serve as Mayor Pro Tem in 2020; and 

c) Announcement by the Mayor of the City Council committees, committee chairmen, and respective committee memberships for 2020.
