To kick off the process of demolishing the Old Jail site, the City of Douglasville will hold a demolition party on Monday, November 18 at 4 p.m. The program includes remarks from Mayor Rochelle Robinson and an overview of the project by TSW representatives Adam Williamson and Laura Richter.

“This project has been a long time in the making,” Mayor Rochelle Robinson explained. “We’re excited to get the ball rolling and finally be making progress that everyone can witness.”

The demolition party will take place in the parking lot of the Old Jail site located at 6840 Church Street in downtown Douglasville.
