We are asking for volunteers to bring gloves, shovels, hard rakes, and pitch forks to help plant trees and spread mulch in the front of Douglas County High School.
There will be 63 trees of 8 different varieties planted which include Willow Oak, Crape Myrtle, Chinese Pistache, Service Berry, Shumard Oak, Bald Cypress, Savannah Holly, and Kousa Dogwood. The landscape plan encompasses the entire front lawn along Campbellton Street and will make a beautiful impact.
This project is in partnership with the Douglas County School System, City of Douglasville, West Georgia Green Association and Keep Douglasville Beautiful. Special thanks to the Winn 3 Charitable Fund for their sponsorship. A dedication of the site will take place on Friday, February 21, 2020 (Georgia’s Arbor Day) at 11:00am.
