Looking for a fun, interesting, and unique opportunity for your child during the Summer? Well look no further. The Douglasville Parks and Recreation Department is hosting a Digital Media Camp at the Ike Owings Community Center, located in Hunter Park. The Digital Media Camp is designed to expose children to the world of mass media and communication. The participants of the program are afforded the opportunity to learn Mass Media basics which include how to operate a camera, how to identify camera accessories and their use, and how to develop a story that will make a great advertising video. Participants also lean how to create commercials, edit videos, and create flyers, while gaining an understanding of the importance of reach, target audience, and demographics. Campers will visit local TV stations and take advantage of a behind the scenes look at television broadcasting. The camp is open to both boys and girls between the ages of 10-14.
