Annual mammograms can detect cancer early. Mammograms can show changes in the breast up to two years before a patient or physician can feel them. With early detection, mammograms can also prevent the need for extensive treatment for advanced cancers and improve chances of breast conservation. Appointments are typically 1 hour.
Women should receive annual mammograms starting at age 40 - even if they have no symptoms or family history of breast cancer.
The Quantum Radiology Mobile Breast Center will be available to City of Douglasville staff on Tuesday, June 21 from 8AM - 3PM at the Douglasville Conference Center. Appointments are required. Check your June Impact That Matters Employee Newsletter for a registration link to make an appointment.
