City Council Regular (Voting) Meeting

The following Planning and Zoning items will be heard at this meeting:

PRZ21-0013

The Douglasville City Council will hold a public hearing on Thursday, December 14th, 2023, to consider an amendment to Exhibit B of ORD 2021-57 to reflect the motion as stated at the Legislative Work Session meeting on December 2, 2021 to amend one car garages on townhomes, and sprinklers only in townhomes, at a lot of  +/- 18.5 acres at the intersection of Burnt Hickory Road and Midway Road in Land Lot 836, District 18, Section 2, Parcel ID 08361820002. The request for amendment will be considered at a Regular Voting meeting on Monday, December 18th, 2023. Both meetings will start at 6:00 pm in the Douglasville Conference Center Auditorium, located at 6700 Church Street, Douglasville, Georgia 30134. Application by SA Land Group, c/o Adam Baker.


PSLUP23-0006

The City of Douglasville Planning Commission will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, to consider a request for Special Land Use Permit for a Guest House for property zoned R-2 (Single-Family Residential Detached District) being +/- 0.91 acres on 8617 Bowden Street in Land Lot 16, District 1, Section 5, Parcel ID 0016015E045. The Planning Commission recommendation will be forwarded to the City Council for a Public Hearing on Thursday, December 14, 2023, and Regular Voting Meeting on Monday, December 18, 2023. All meetings are held at 6:00 pm, in the Douglasville Conference Center Auditorium, 6700 Church Street, Douglasville, Georgia 30134. Application by Calvin Willis. Interested parties may attend the public hearing.

The City of Douglasville Planning Commission will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, to consider a request for a variance from section 3.03(B) of the Unified Development Ordinance to reduce the minimum front yard setback from 50 feet to 33 feet. The site consists of  +/- 0.91 acres at 8617 Bowden Street in Land Lot 16, District 1, Section 5, Parcel ID 0016015E045. The Planning Commission recommendation will be forwarded to the City Council for a Public Hearing on Thursday, December 14, 2023, and Regular Voting Meeting on Monday, December 18, 2023. All meetings are held at 6:00 pm, in the Douglasville Conference Center Auditorium, 6700 Church Street, Douglasville, Georgia 30134. Application by Calvin Willis. Interested parties may attend the public hearing.

 

PCCV23-0010 

The Douglasville City Council will hold a Public Hearing on Thursday, December 14th, 2023, to consider a request for a variance from the Unified Development Ordinance for sections 8.02.2.C to reduce the 50-foot zoning buffer to 0 feet and section 5.04.B to reduce the rear yard setback requirement of 100 feet to 80 feet. The site consists of +/- 32.57 acres located on Bright Star Road in Land Lot 158, District 2, Section 5, Parcel 01580250072 and 01580250073. The request for variance will be considered at a Regular Voting meeting on Monday, December 18th, 2023. Both meetings will start at 6:00 pm in the Douglasville Conference Center Auditorium, located at 6700 Church Street, Douglasville, Georgia 30134.
