When a child has special health care needs, mom's are often recognized as the one who manages the care of the child(ren).  However, fathers also play a very vital role by giving comfort and supporting a child in a way that no one else can. Fathers are the family members that others rely on for reassurance because they offer strong, caring support for their child(ren).  
 
Douglasville Parks and Recreation in partnership with Calculated Pathways, Inc., will be hosting a virtual panel discussion featuring fathers in Douglas County of children with special health care needs, as we discuss the important role of special needs fathers and highlighting their significance, their challenges and concerns.
