City Council Legislative Work Session

The following Planning and Development items will be on the agenda:

PRZ21-0014/PRZ24-0003

The Douglasville Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, April 2nd, 2024, to consider an amendment to Exhibit C of ORD-2021-56 to amend condition 14 regarding camera systems throughout the community to require instead “Vehicular tag reader system to be installed at entrance to development” at a lot of +/- 13.83 acres on Vansant Road in Land Lot 902, District 18, Section 2, Parcel ID 09021820018. The Planning Commission’s recommendation will be forwarded to the City Council for a Public Hearing on Thursday, April 11th, 2024, and Regular Voting meeting on Monday, April 15th, 2024. Both meetings will start at 6:00 pm in the Douglasville Conference Center Auditorium, located at 6700 Church Street, Douglasville, Georgia 30134. The City of Douglasville City Council will hold a Public Hearing on Thursday, April 11th, 2024, to consider a request for a variance from section 4.08(B) of the Unified Development Ordinance to allow the canopy accessory structure to be placed at 30 feet in the front yard setback. The site will consist of +/- 1.2 acres on Veteran’s Memorial Highway in Land Lot 744, District 18, Section 2, Parcel ID 07441820013 and 07441820018. The request for variance will be considered at the Regular Voting Meeting on Monday, April 15th, 2024. All meetings are held at 6:00 pm, in the Douglasville Conference Center Auditorium, 6700 Church Street, Douglasville, Georgia 30134. Application by Mickey Kapoor. Interested parties may attend the public hearing.

The City of Douglasville City Council will hold a Public Hearing on Thursday, April 11th, 2024, to consider a request for a variance from section 4.08(B) of the Unified Development Ordinance to reduce the minimum rear yard setback from 50 feet to 40 feet. The site will consist of +/- 1.2 acres on Veteran’s Memorial Highway in Land Lot 744, District 18, Section 2, Parcel ID 07441820013 and 07441820018. The request for variance will be considered at the Regular Voting Meeting on Monday, April 15th, 2024. All meetings are held at 6:00 pm, in the Douglasville Conference Center Auditorium, 6700 Church Street, Douglasville, Georgia 30134. Application by Mickey Kapoor. Interested parties may attend the public hearing.

The City of Douglasville City Council will hold a Public Hearing on Thursday, April 11th, 2024, to consider a request for a variance from section 4.08(B) of the Unified Development Ordinance to reduce the minimum front yard setback from 50 feet to 10 feet and a variance to allow the canopy accessory structure to be placed in the front yard setback. The site will consist of +/- 1.4 acres at 9320 The Landing Drive in Land Lot 23, District 1, Section 5, Parcel ID 00230150117.  The request for variance will be considered at the Regular Voting Meeting on Monday, April 15th, 2024. All meetings are held at 6:00 pm, in the Douglasville Conference Center Auditorium, 6700 Church Street, Douglasville, Georgia 30134.
