City Council Legislative Work Session

The following Planning and Development items will be on the agenda:

PRZ24-0004

The City of Douglasville Planning Commission will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, May 7th, 2024, to consider a request for a change in zoning from PSP (Public-Semi-Public District) to HI (Heavy Industrial District) for +/- 2.526 acres located on 1435 Municipal Parkway in Land Lot 735, District 18, Section 2, Parcel ID 07351820017.  The Planning Commission’s recommendation will be forwarded to the City Council for a Public Hearing on Thursday, May 16th, 2024, and Regular Voting Meeting on Monday, May 20th, 2024. All meetings are held at 6:00 pm, in the Douglasville Conference Center Auditorium, 6700 Church Street, Douglasville, Georgia 30134. Application by Craig Wire Products, LLC. Interested parties may attend the public hearing.

The City of City Council will hold a Public Hearing on Thursday, May 16th, 2024, to consider a request for a variance from section 8.01(E) of the Unified Development Ordinance to reduce the required parking spaces from 750 to 125 parking spaces and a variance from section 8.03(C) to increase the maximum light mounting height from 20 feet to 40 feet. The site consists of +/- 55.37 acres located on North River Road in Land Lot 173, District 1, Section 5, Parcel ID 01730150012. The request for variance will be considered at the Regular Voting Meeting on Monday, May 20th, 2024. All meetings are held at 6:00 pm, in the Douglasville Conference Center Auditorium, 6700 Church Street, Douglasville, Georgia 30134. The Planning Commission’s recommendation will be forwarded to the City Council for a Public Hearing on Thursday, May 16th, 2024, and Regular Voting Meeting on Monday, May 20th, 2024.
