Georgia Cities Week is part of an ongoing effort to raise public awareness about the services that cities provide and to educate the public on how city government works.
Cities across Georgia will celebrate Georgia Cities Week from October 4-10, 2020. This year’s theme is “Georgia’s Cities: Building the 2020 Vision” and will give cities the opportunity to:
- Share information about the valuable services cities provide to residents, including an inside look into city operations and how cities positively impact their quality of life
- Highlight successful community projects and infrastructure enhancements
- Connect residents with each other
- Build or improve working relationships with state leaders and legislators
Now in its 21st year, Georgia Cities Week is also an opportunity to celebrate community achievements and recognize volunteers and city employees. We hope you will join us in this celebration and learn more about your city and how it operates for you. We’ve created The City of Douglasville Activity Book with fun facts, coloring pages, a maze and more.
Download The City of Douglasville Activity Book HERE and upload a photo below of your child completing it to receive a complimentary Good Citizen Award.
